Dear Honors Choir
Families –
I hope you all had a
wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones. It’s
nearly December, which means we’re nearing the end of the first semester and we
have some performances coming up!
A few
reminders/details:
- SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9 is the annual collaborative
concert including the CPS 5th Grade Honors Choir and the
Booneslick Chordbusters, a barbershop chorus in our community. For more
information about the Chordbusters, please visit their website at http://www.chordbusters.com/ .
- CALL TIME ON DECEMBER 9 IS AT 6:00PM at the Missouri Theatre
downtown. I
know there are other musical opportunities for students happening on the
same day that some of you may have already registered for. Thank you for
your commitment to make sure your student is at the Missouri Theatre by
6:00pm.
- Students
should wear their uniform as described in the Honors Choir Handbook for
the performance, including the cardigan they were given in October. They
will be provided a tie to wear during the performance.
- THE PERFORMANCE BEGINS AT 7:00PM.
In the past, the Chordbusters have joined the Honors Choir in singing the
final number of the show.
- If
your singer will be absent, late, or need to leave early from a rehearsal,
please notify me in advance.
- If
you have any questions, comments, or concerns please don’t hesitate to
contact me via email, phone, or in person before or after rehearsals.
Again, thank you for
your commitment to this ensemble. The team of directors is excited to share the
progress of the group at our upcoming performances!
