Good afternoon, Honors Choir
Families!
I hope you’re staying warm
and well during this crazy month of winter weather!
Some reminders for upcoming
events:
- Tuesday,
February 27 the Honors Choir will perform at First Baptist Church
in downtown Columbia in a collaborative concert with the King’s Daughters
ensemble. Call time for singers is 6:00pm, and the performance will begin
at 7:00pm.
- We will
not have Honors Choir rehearsal on Tuesday, February 27 due to our
performance that evening.
- All
Honors Choir members should arrive to the performance on February 27 in
uniform. This means black from waist to toe, a white collared
top, the burgundy cardigan students were issued in October, and the gold
tie to complete the outfit. Students who do not have a tie will be
provided one.
- Each family will receive
one (1) complimentary ticket for the Honors Choir performance with
the King’s Daughters. There will be a representative from the King’s
Daughters at tomorrow afternoon’s rehearsal to say a few words of
motivation and appreciation to the Honors Choir singers. Additional
tickets are available for purchase at $10 each, and children attend free
of admission charges.

soon about the Honors Choir trip to Kansas City on Friday, April
6th. As of right now, we have plenty of elementary music teachers
who have volunteered to supervise this trip and we will not be needing
additional chaperones. Thank you for those of you who have volunteered to
attend with us. I will keep you posted if our chaperone situation changes.
- If your singer will be
late, absent, or need to leave early from any Honors Choir function,
please notify me in advance.
