January 30 Update

Hello, Honors Choir Families!

I hope you are staying warm and well during this winter/spring cold/flu season!

A few reminders:

  • On February 27th, the Honors Choir will be performing with the King’s Daughters ensemble at First Baptist Church in downtown Columbia. Call time for singers is 6:00pm for a 7:00pm performance. There will be no afternoon rehearsal on February 27th due to that evening’s concert.

  • If your singer will be absent, late, or need to leave early from a rehearsal, please notify me in advance.

  • Please contact me directly via text if you will be running late to pick up your singer. My cell number is (573)239-6408.

  • Mark your calendars: Honors Choir trip to Kansas City on Friday, April 6th. Much more information to come in following weeks.


  • Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions, comments, or concerns relating to Honors Choir!

January 23 Update

Good afternoon, Honors Choir Families –

I hope you and your loved ones are staying well through this cold/flu season and through dramatic fluctuations in the weather.

A few reminders and such:

  • Thank you for faithfully transporting your singer to and from rehearsal on time! Please contact me directly via text or call if you will be running late to pick up your singer. My cell number is (573)239-6408.

  • It has come to my attention that all Honors Choir singers from one elementary school will be absent from this week’s rehearsal due to a field trip that extends beyond the school day. If your singer’s school has conflicting events (field trips, choir concerts, etc.) please notify me with details so we can anticipate absences.

January 9 Update

January 8, 2018
Good evening, Honors Choir Families!

Happy New Year! I hope your holiday season was filled with joy and loved ones! It’s time for the Honors Choir to get back to work!

A few reminders:

  • We ARE having rehearsal tomorrow, January 9th.  We realize tomorrow afternoon’s rehearsal will follow a VERY exciting day at the FINE ARTS EXTRAVAGANZA. Please send your singer to rehearsal tomorrow afternoon. We will be looking at new music for the new year!

  • I have attached the schedule for this semester here. Please take some time to look it over and compare it with your family’s schedule for conflicts.

  • Our next performance will be with a local group called the King’s Daughters on Tuesday, February 27 at the First Baptist Church in downtown Columbia. We will not have afternoon rehearsal that day. Call time for singers will be 6:00pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00pm.

  • If your singer will be absent, late, or need to leave early, please notify me in advance.

Welcome back to Honors Choir! The team of directors is excited about the possibilities for the Honors Choir in 2018, and looking forward to our end-of-year trip to Kansas City in April (many more details to come!)
