CPS 5th Grade Honors Choir Families!
Happy
“Two”-sday (2-22-22)! We hope all is well with you as we endure what will (hopefully)
be the last winter storm of the season later this week.
A
few announcements and reminders:
· The Honors Choir team of directors has created a Schoology
course to accommodate unavoidable absences from rehearsal. Materials will be
posted for singers to access at any time outside of rehearsal. The access code
is: P8XX-TSVF-NZQ5G . To enroll in your singer in this course, go to “My
Courses,” a link in blue on the right side of the Schoology home page. Singers
should be familiar with their login information from their home schools. If
you’re having trouble logging into Schoology, please contact the media
specialist at your child’s school.
· If possible, please notify me in advance if your singer will
be absent from rehearsal. It is our hope that all students who auditioned into
the group will continue to participate; however, if conflicts have arisen,
please let me know.
· Weekly rehearsals are from 4:00-5:15pm. Please do not
drop off your singers before 3:45pm, as all the Honors Choir directors are
coming from different schools around the district and will not be available to
supervise before then. Thanks to you all for picking up your singers on
time (no later than 5:30) and for being respectful of our Tuesday evening
schedule, which often includes rehearsals with other community ensembles.
· For safety purposes, please let me know if your singer will
be riding with anyone other than their parent or guardian.
· Our April performance date has been pushed back by a week
due to a conflict with a CPS-sponsored trip affecting about half of the Honors
Choir singers. Our new performance date is Tuesday, April 26.
