Honors Choir Reminders                                               October 28, 2016

·       Thanks to all our HC families for picking up fundraising last week!!
·       Remember Nov. 1st is our next rehearsal…it’s a Tuesday, but it’s also the first day of the week for our singers at school. Don’t be tricked!!
·       Nov. 8th there is no school, so there is also no HC. L Sorry! We’ll miss you!
·       There IS rehearsal on Nov. 22nd, it is right before Thanksgiving break.
·       I promise to let you know when t-shirts will be ready for pick up as soon as I know.
·       Our concert dates are Dec. 3rd & Dec. 15th for this semester. Times to be announced soon!
·       Please read over the uniform information below, straight from the handbook:
Uniforms
The uniform for concerts is as follow unless otherwise noted:
Bottoms: Black skirts with black tights or black pants with black socks
Shoes: Black dress shoes
Tops: All students will need a white button collared shirt. Students will be provided a burgundy cardigan with a gold neck tie. The white shirt does not need to have a certain arm length; it just simply needs to have a collar that can hold a necktie with a button. This would include button down dress shirts or polo shirts.
The cardigans and necktie are property of Columbia Public Schools.
Please contact JoAnna Hoeppner(jhoeppner@cpsk12.org) if purchasing a shirt and pants or a skirt is a problem for you.  We will provide you with a donated uniform or look for a source of alternative funding.  I do not want this to prevent any child who has qualified from participating.
Uniforms will be needed for both of our December concerts. You still have plenty of time to get these items, but if you need assistance, you need to let me know ASAP so we have plenty of time to prepare.
Thanks again for picking up fundraising! This is the first time I can remember everyone picking up on time!! You all ROCK!!!!

TOMORROW!!

Tomorrow, tomorrow!

The fundraiser items come in tomorrow!
It’s only a day away!!!

Hey HC families,

Fundraising orders will be at West Middle School tomorrow (10/25). Please plan on picking them up in the band room between 4:45 and 5:15. We will be sorting them between 3:45 & 4:45. If you’re really bored at that time, you are welcome to join us! 

The band room is right next to the choir room at West, in that little building on the southwest corner where do drop off and pick up.

Schedule Reminder

Hey HC Families,

There seems to be some confusion about our schedule/calendar and performance dates. All this information was sent out earlier and is ALWAYS available here on the blog. However, to be safe, here's the schedule for the WHOLE YEAR one more time. Please feel free to print it and hang it on the fridge, crossing out dates, whatever works best for your family.

To be clear, we will not change these dates. The only way that would happen is if there's a blizzard or tornado. Otherwise, these dates are firm.

First Semester Schedule 2016-17

Rehearsals at West Middle School, starting at 4:00 PM. Students may NOT be dropped off earlier than 3:45. Rehearsal ends at 5:15. All students should be picked up by 5:30.

Honors Choir Reminders October 18, 2016

Online orders for fundraising are still being accepted, (button on the blog)

10/25/16, NEXT WEEK Pick up for fundraising items; pick up at end of rehearsal 5:15 in the band room (right next to the choir room); if you had any orders for fundraising, you will need to be there at this time to pick up the orders as we DO NOT have space or freezers to store these items. If you cannot be there in person, please make arrangements for someone else to pick them up.
I promise to let you know when t-shirts will be ready for pick up as soon as I know. However, we ordered them at an extremely busy time (MU homecoming) so it’ll be a few weeks before this happens.

*Important Reminder Ahead*
Drop off for choir is 3:45, which is 15 minutes before rehearsal begins. We meet at West Middle School because it’s the most central location for our singers. None of the directors work at West and many times we are just getting to West at 3:45 or right before that. When you drop off your singer before 3:45, there is not always supervision and we fear for the safety of our singers. For these reasons, PLEASE do not drop off before 3:45. Thanks so much!!!
