CPS 5th Grade Honors Choir Families!
I
hope all is well with you as we “spring forward” this weekend and welcome more
daylight!
A
few announcements and reminders:
· Our April performance will be hosted at Battle High School (7575
E. St. Charles Rd.) on Tuesday, April 26. Call time for singers will be 5:15pm
in the BHS Choir Room, and the performance will begin at 6:00pm in the
Performing Arts Center.
· The Honors Choir team of directors has created a Schoology
course to accommodate unavoidable absences from rehearsal so singers can access
materials at any time outside of rehearsal. The access code is: P8XX-TSVF-NZQ5G
. Singers should be familiar with their login information from their home
schools. If you’re having trouble logging into Schoology, please contact the
media specialist at your child’s school.
· If possible, please notify me in advance if your singer will
be absent from rehearsal. It is our hope that all students who auditioned into
the group will continue to participate; however, if conflicts have arisen,
please let me know.
· Weekly rehearsals are from 4:00-5:15pm. Please do not
drop off your singers before 3:45pm, as all the Honors Choir directors are
coming from different schools around the district and will not be available to
supervise before then. Thanks to you all for picking up your singers on
time (no later than 5:30) and for being respectful of our Tuesday evening
schedules, which often include rehearsals with other community ensembles.
· For safety purposes, please let me know if your singer will
be riding with anyone other than their parent or guardian.
