Honors Choir Reminders October 18, 2016

• Donations are welcome and always accepted.  

• Online orders for fundraising are still being accepted, (button on the blog)

• 10/25/16, NEXT WEEK Pick up for fundraising items; pick up at end of rehearsal 5:15 in the band room (right next to the choir room); if you had any orders for fundraising, you will need to be there at this time to pick up the orders as we DO NOT have space or freezers to store these items. If you cannot be there in person, please make arrangements for someone else to pick them up.

• I promise to let you know when t-shirts will be ready for pick up as soon as I know. However, we ordered them at an extremely busy time (MU homecoming) so it’ll be a few weeks before this happens.

*Important Reminder Ahead*

Drop off for choir is 3:45, which is 15 minutes before rehearsal begins. We meet at West Middle School because it’s the most central location for our singers. None of the directors work at West and many times we are just getting to West at 3:45 or right before that. When you drop off your singer before 3:45, there is not always supervision and we fear for the safety of our singers. For these reasons, PLEASE do not drop off before 3:45. Thanks so much!!!

·       T-shirts are $10

·       I will have order forms at choir or print out the form below

·       Checks should be made payable to CPS w/honors choir in the memo

·       Online orders for fundraising are still being accepted, (button on the blog)

·       The order forms were sent to Cherrydale Farms last week, no more paper forms are being accepted now

Honors Choir Weekly Update!

September 7th

Hello honors choir families,

It was great to see so many of you at the meeting yesterday. If something came up and you were unable to attend, this email should help. You are always welcome to email me with questions or concerns, too.

Yesterday we:

·       Had a rehearsal with a great group of singers!

·       They received choir folders with all their music & nametags

·       They should bring those every week

·       We had a meeting with most of our families

·       Mr. Battle discussed some things you need to know

·       We handed out fundraising materials (you can get these next week)

We did not hand out the Honors Choir Handbook, but it is on the HC blog and you can follow this link to read it, too:

Everyone should read through the handbook as it helps you know what is expected of our HC singers. If you didn’t make it to the meeting, it’s crucial you go through the handbook ASAP and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Next week after our rehearsal I’ll send out an email with:

·       deadlines for fundraising,

·       T-shirts order form info (is you would like to purchase, not mandatory)

·       Any other info you might need

Friendly Reminder!

September 2, 2016

Hello Honors Choir Families,

Just one extra reminder that our first rehearsal and parents meeting is on Tuesday, September 6^th. I wouldn’t remind, but it is right after the three day weekend. So…

·       HC meets at 4:00 pm

·       West Middle School Choir Room, on the ARC side (we’ll be directing)

·       Rehearsal is done at 5:15 pm

·       This first time, we’ll have the parents meeting at 5:15, in the choir room

·       If you cannot be there for any reason, please make sure to let me know!

General information about HC, our calendar, and the fall fundraiser will be discussed and sent out from this first meeting. It will not be long, only 15-20 minutes.
