One last thing...

(or three…)

If you or your singer was unable to pick up your comp tickets for Saturday’s concert, we will leave those at the will call window (same as the box office window) at Missouri Theater on Saturday night. Please, just give them the name of your singer and they will give you the two tickets.

Singers should be dropped off at the Missouri Theater stage door between 5:30 and 6:00 pm on Saturday night. The stage door opens out to the alley between the theater and the construction site of the new Shakespeares/apartments they are building at the corner of Locust and 9th street. Cars should NOT go down the alley. Please pull up to the alley on 9th street or 8th street (behind the temporary Shakespeares building) and let your singer out of the car to walk to the stage door.

The front doors (to the audience) will open at 6:30 pm. The concert begins at 7:00 pm. There are extra tickets that will be available at the box office the night of the concert and they will be $10 each.

See you Saturday night!!!

PS

PS...(dang it, I always try to get it all and then miss something important. Sorry to fill up your inbox!)

·       The concert this Saturday is with the Booneslick Chordbusters men’s barbershop chorus: http://www.chordbusters.com/
·       Extra tickets (over your two comps) are $10
·       You may purchase them in advance from Charles Bay. You can stop by Wilsons Garden Center near Hickman High School on the business loop and purchase them or you may call him at 529-6821. There should be tickets available at the door of the Missouri Theater the night of the concert.
·       The first half of the concert is just the Chordbusters; the second half starts with five of our songs; the Chordbusters will sing again; the end of the concert will have honors choir sing a song with Chordbusters.
·       I will hand out comp tickets on Tuesday to parents or students. If you know you need your student to pick up those tickets, please just tell them to see me after rehearsal or if you’d like the carpool parent to pick up your tickets, please just let them know. We’ll have a sign out sheet for tickets.

I hope this is the last one before our concerts. Thanks for your help and patience!! See you tomorrow!!

Important Info Part Deux

Here’s what you need to know about DECEMBER:

·       The blog has learning tracks for Stabat Mater, use this link:
·       December 1st is a regular rehearsal
·       I will hand out two comps tickets to each family at the Dec. 1st rehearsal beginning at 4:45 in the Lange Commons. J
·       Our concert with Chordbusters is Saturday, December 5th at 7:00 pm, students will need to be there (Missouri Theater) at 6:00 pm
·       December 8th is a regular rehearsal
·       December 10th is our Winter Concert at Rock Bridge High School at 7:00 pm, students will need to be there at 6:00 pm
·       You will need the same concert attire for your singer at both these concerts and I just resent the uniform information. If you need assistance with uniform purchase, please let me, Mr. Battle, or Ms. Lenz know ASAP!
·       We will sing basically the same concert with Chordbusters as we wil on our FREE concert on the 10th. The big difference is you will get to see the whole Chordbusters portion of the concert and we will sing with them on a song.
·       The 5th Grade Honors Choir will be the only group performing on the Dec. 10th concert. It is free.

·       Our first rehearsal for 2016 is January 5th

Uniform information

Uniform questions

Hey there! I’ve had many questions from families about what students need for the Honors Choir uniform. Here’s what you need:
1.      A white, collared shirt that buttons to the top. It may be long-sleeved or short-sleeved, but it must have a collar that buttons so that we can place a clip-on tie on it.
2.     Black shoes and socks or tights.
3.     Black pants or skirt. We really want black from waist to toe, with no skin showing. This helps the audience focus on the singers faces. We do not want any colors or skin peeking out as a distraction.
We provide for the students to borrow for performances:
1.      A gold clip on tie
2.     A burgundy cardigan sweater
There is nothing else needed.
If you ANY reason you need assistance purchasing the uniform pieces that your child needs, please email me ASAP and we will make sure to work it out.
Last thing: There is no rehearsal on December 15th, after our winter concert on the 10th. We will resume rehearsals on January 5th.
Thanks!
