Uniform questions

Hey there! I’ve had many questions from families about what students need for the Honors Choir uniform. Here’s what you need:

1.      A white, collared shirt that buttons to the top. It may be long-sleeved or short-sleeved, but it must have a collar that buttons so that we can place a clip-on tie on it.

2.     Black shoes and socks or tights.

3.     Black pants or skirt. We really want black from waist to toe, with no skin showing. This helps the audience focus on the singers faces. We do not want any colors or skin peeking out as a distraction.

We provide for the students to borrow for performances:

1.      A gold clip on tie

2.     A burgundy cardigan sweater

There is nothing else needed.

If you ANY reason you need assistance purchasing the uniform pieces that your child needs, please email me ASAP and we will make sure to work it out.

Last thing: There is no rehearsal on December 15^th, after our winter concert on the 10^th. We will resume rehearsals on January 5^th.

Important information for the rest of the semester!!

Here’s what you need to know about November & December:

·       Next week’s (11/17) rehearsal will NOT be 2 hours, we will be done at 5:15, as usual

·       There is NO REHEARSAL the following week, November 24^th

·       December 1^st is a regular rehearsal

·       Our concert with Chordbusters is Saturday, December 5^th at 7:00 pm, students will need to be there (Missouri Theater) at 6:00 pm

·       December 8^th is a regular rehearsal

·       December 10^th is our Winter Concert at Rock Bridge High School at 7:00 pm, students will need to be there at 6:00 pm

·       Our first rehearsal for 2016 is January 5^th

If you’ve already got your singer’s honors choir t-shirt, you may ignore this message.

Psss…

If you ordered a honors choir t-shirt and have been waiting for it, the wait will end at choir today!! I will hand out t-shirts at 5:15 to students today. IF you, the parent/guardian/pick-up person, wants to pick up that shirt at 5:00 in the Lange Commons area, I will fully support that!

• ·        Great job at fundraiser pick-up!!!
• ·        If you find anything is missing from your order email me IMMEDIATELY!!
• ·        NO REHEARSAL NEXT WEEK: no school=no rehearsal
• ·        T-shirts SHOULD be in by next rehearsal (11/10)

Oops!!!

We goofed!!! Our fundraiser pick-up is actually next week, October 27^th.

Ms. Hoeppner will be ready for you all to pick up next week at 5:00 pm in the Lange Commons area.

Update 10/13/15

Good news and exciting news:

• Fundraising orders will be at honors choir rehearsal next week!! Please plan on being at Lange between 5:00 and 5:15 to pick up your order!!!
• Our rehearsal on Tuesday, November 24th has been cancelled!! Please don't send your singer that day because everyone is excited to start the turkey coma as soon as possible! 
• Email me at jhoeppner@cpsk12.org if you have any questions or if your student will be absent from rehearsal.
